High-Risk Pregnancy in Hilton Head

The health care providers at Riverside Women’s Care are dedicated to helping you navigate your high-risk pregnancy in Hilton Head. Any pregnancy that features one or more factors that could lead to complications during the pregnancy, or the process of labor and delivery is considered to be high risk. These factors can include but are not limited to:

  • Blood disorders such as anemia, blood clots, or bleeding during pregnancy
  • Obesity, or being clinically overweight
  • High blood pressure before or during pregnancy
  • Diabetes before becoming pregnant

The complications associated with high-risk pregnancies may include preterm birth, low birthweight, or loss of pregnancy. Your care will include more regular and frequent prenatal checkups and closer monitoring of your health and the health of your unborn baby.
