MRI Fusion Prostate Biopsy. We offer the first MRI-ultrasound fusion prostate biopsy procedure in the Lowcountry. We can now offer patients a screening prostate MRI and if a suspicious lesion is found, specifically target that lesion with our biopsy procedure using a fusion ultrasound device. Using this MRI targeted biopsy, the detection rate of insignificant cancers is lower than with systematic blind ultrasound guided biopsy.

Lithotripsy. This technology allows for stones in the kidneys or upper ureter to be broken up by using shock waves in a completely non-invasive manner. We offer the only full time lithotripsy treatment for kidney stones in the entire South Carolina and Georgia Lowcountry area at Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville, SC. This allows you immediate procedures to address your kidney and ureter stone issues.

State-of-the-Art Robotics. We use the DaVinci advanced robotic surgery system for several urology surgery procedures. The system converts the movements of your surgeon’s hands to very precise actions of the instrument. The benefits include dramatically increased precision, reduced bleeding, faster recovery, and fewer complications. This state-of-the-art technology can be used to treat a broad range of urologic conditions.
